How AI may be used
AI may assist with:
- organising research questions and article outlines;
- producing or revising draft wording;
- improving structure, clarity or consistency; and
- creating illustrative images.
Lisa Hodgson is the named human author. AI is not presented as an author, expert, source or specialist reviewer.
Evidence and checking
AI tools can make mistakes, invent details or miss important context. An AI response is not treated as evidence. Important factual claims should be checked against opened, relevant sources, with extra care for planning, building, electrical, gas, water, drainage, waste, health and financial topics.
Quotations, people and projects
AI must not be used to fabricate quotations, testimonials, qualifications, first-hand experience, real people or completed projects. If a quotation or project cannot be traced to a reliable source, it should not be presented as verified.
AI-generated images
AI-generated images are illustrations. They should be labelled clearly and must not be presented as photographs of Lisa, a real tiny house, a completed installation or a tested design. Readers should not use an AI image as a technical drawing or construction specification.
Older content
Older articles are being reviewed for sourcing, safety, attribution and image provenance. Material that cannot be supported may be corrected, qualified or removed.
